STUDENTS FROM CROATIA IN POLAND - from the point of view of a student

STUDENTS FROM CROATIA IN POLAND

Erasmus+ brings young people together - an unforgettable exchange between schools from Poland and Croatia

The spring of 2025 went down in gold in the history of the Primary School in Rudna Wielka and the School Centre in Podolice. Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, pupils and teachers had the opportunity to take part in an extraordinary international exchange - first by hosting Croatian partners in Poland, and then by visiting their school in sunny Koprivnica. Working together, having fun, learning about the culture and everyday life of their peers proved to be a beautiful lesson in life, tolerance and friendship.

In April, pupils from Croatia came to Poland. Already on the first day, after a warm welcome within the walls of our schools, we began to get to know each other and our cultures together. The Polish students prepared a performance about the Gniezno Congress, which allowed our guests to learn about one of the key events in Polish history. The evening was highlighted by joint quizzes and educational games, which broke down language barriers in a friendly atmosphere.

On the second day, we visited Łańcut together - a city with a rich history and a beautiful castle . There was no shortage of delight. In the afternoon, it was time for sports emotions - we met at the KS Rudnianka stadium, where in international teams we competed and had fun during various games and competitions.

The third day brought a bit of sweetness - our guests could taste traditional Polish pastries during the annual school fair.

On the fourth day, science and entertainment awaited us - at the Lukasiewicz Science Centre, students could experiment, learn through play and discover the world of technology. We ended the day with a game of bowling and then shopping at the Millenium Hall shopping centre.

The last day in Poland was full of emotions. In the morning, there was an integration workshop and a farewell ceremony at the school. The Croatian students also had the opportunity to see a unique pantomime depicting the Stations of the Cross, prepared by our students in the parish church. In the evening we had a party together - dancing, laughing and talking until late. On Saturday morning, during the farewell at the station, nobody hid their emotions - there were tears, hugs and promises to meet soon.
