A MOBILITY TO CROATIA
Back in May, our students visited their
Croatian friends. The visit coincided with an international exchange with
students from Spain, which made the meeting even more special.
The first day started with
a ceremonial welcome, after which we had a tour of the modern school and took
part in an educational escape room in the library. We then participated in a
workshop using 3D printers and recorded interviews for the school's website. In
the afternoon, we watched artistic performances - a play about King Tomislaw
and a concert by students from the local music school. There was plenty of
dancing and chatting together during the breaks.
On the second day, we
participated in lessons conducted in Croatian - it was a big challenge, but
also a great learning opportunity. Together we made bracelets and created
improvised theatre scenes. In the afternoon we went to the town hall, where we
met the deputy mayor and learned about the history of Koprivnica. A walk around
the town and a picnic in the park rounded off the day. In the evening we took
part in a ceremony to elect the best eighth grade in all of Koprivnica - our
friends from OS Podolice won, which prompted thunderous applause.
On the third day we took a
trip to Zagreb - where we participated in an exciting city game, visited
museums and spent time at the zoo. We ended the day with shopping and saying
goodbye to the Spanish participants.
Thursday was spent in
Ludbreg, where we took part in a robotics workshop, visited a museum and
visited the Sanctuary of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus - one of the most
important pilgrimage sites in Croatia. In the evening, we had a party together
by the pool - there was dancing, singing, thanks and a lot of fun.
The last day was a solemn
farewell - one last dance together, exchange of contacts, tears of emotion and
promises that this is only the beginning of friendship.
The Erasmus+ exchange
turned out to be much more than an educational programme. These were days full
of emotions, new experiences, learning and mutual understanding. The students
had the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective, to open up
to new cultures.
