GREEN ECO-ACADEMY

As part of the Green Eco-Academy project, a Chemistry teacher invited the pupils of Class 2a to play through experiments. Fascinated by the equipment in the ecology and nature laboratory, the children listened attentively to the instructions of teacher teaching the older classes chemistry and observed the chemical and physical reactions taking place in simple experiments with water, baking soda, vinegar and oil. The unusual nature lesson provided the second-graders with interesting insights, introduced them to scientific issues and the names of the objects used in the experiments.

A FILM IS NOT JUST A STORY

On 28 November, pupils from classes 1 to 3 took part in a workshop run by the Centre for Film Education entitled "Your voice sounds familiar, or a journey through the world of dubbing". During the lesson, the children learnt what cues are, film dubbing and what a recording studio looks like. Together with a professional actor, they performed diction exercises and had the opportunity to discover who lends their voice to well-known film characters. At the end of the workshop, the pupils watched an animated film entitled." A film is not just a story". The colourful tale

made the pupils realise that the film was not just a story. The colourful story made us realise that you don't have to be "super" to be a good, helpful and valuable person.

LEGO EDUCATION AND STEM

This school year we are continuing our programming lessons with LEGO® Learning under the principle of 'learning through play'.

LEGO Education offers a wide range of suggestions for a STEM educational model with material tailored to students of all ages and abilities. By enabling the development of creativity, collaboration and critical thinking, the self-confidence of the youngest is strengthened and useful competences for adult life are shaped.

LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential sets encourage students in grades 1-3 to learn science. By building, constructing and programming, children develop their mathematical and analytical skills. Adapted from current learning standards, the lesson modules are based on real-life issues and use minifigures that children can identify with. The LEGO building blocks that children are familiar with are an excellent basis for creative problem solving, storytelling and help to develop language skills.
