PICTURE DICTIONARY’
On 22.11.2024, in the
tradition of previous years, a gala ceremony took place at GCKRiS, during which
prizes were handed out. The overriding aim of organising the competition was to
motivate pupils to learn English, make them more sensitive to the beauty and
culture of English-speaking countries, promote among pupils an attitude of
responsibility for the process of independent learning, develop their language
skills, realise themselves artistically, as well as integrate the pupil
community.
The competition has been
organised for years, with the first edition taking place in 2017. A total of
310 pupils from primary schools in the Świlcza municipality took part in it. In
this year's 7th edition, the students' task was to create a picture dictionary.
Sixty-seven pupils from primary schools in the Świlcza Municipality took part.
In our school, Aleksandra Majka (6th grade) took second place and two
distinctions were awarded to Joanna Machnicka and Kamila Pałycia (5th grade).
The pupils were supervised by Ms J. Wiśniewska and Ms B. Tarnowska-Mazan.
