FIRST MEETING WITH CROATIAN STUDENTS

FIRST MEETING WITH CROATIAN STUDENTS

On October 24th, we conducted our inaugural online meeting with students from Osnovna Škola “Podolice” in Koprivnica, Croatia. Koprivnica, situated 70 kilometers northeast of Zagreb, is the capital and largest city of the Koprivnica-Križevci County in Northern Croatia. During the session, students from both institutions introduced themselves, shared insights about their families and compared aspects of daily life in their respective countries. This collaboration will continue throughout the school year as part of our Erasmus+ accreditation.

SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL

SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL

With the start of the new school year, our School Student Council has resumed its activities.

On 15 September, on the occasion of the International Day of the Dot - a celebration of discovering talents, we prepared a creative game for the youngest pupils. Participants had the chance to reflect on their own strengths and search for their own talents.

On Boys' Day, the Student Council prepared long-awaited coupons and sweet gifts for all boys.

Self-governance is also taught at a higher level - on 30 September, elections to the Youth Council of the Świlcza Municipality were held in our school.

The aim of the Council is to popularise the idea of self-governance among young people, participate in planning local undertakings, represent the interests of young people, and give opinions and advice on the activities of the commune authorities.

IN SEARCH OF HISTORY

In search of history!

On 23 September Classes VII and VIII visited the Museum of the Rescuers of Jews in Markowa. The pupils listened attentively to the guide, who in a clear and interesting way introduced them to the fate of the Ulma family and the local population during the occupation. It was a time that made them reflect and think, and allowed them to get to know the real heroes of those days.
